During Independence Day celebrations in Socotra… Al-Jaadi: The people of the South continue their struggle and impose of sovereignty over homeland

The local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Socotra, on Sunday, organised a ceremony on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of National Independence Day on November 30, with the participation of Fadel Al-Jaadi, member of the Southern Transitional Council’s Presidency.

At the ceremony that was held at the stadium of the late Saad Ali Salmin in the city of Hadibo, Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Governor of Socotra, delivered a speech expressing his congratulations to the people of the governorate and the nation on this occasion, saluting the heroes of the southern armed forces stationed everywhere to defend the nation and its gains.

Fadl Al-Jaadi, who is also the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, spoke in which he said that the directives of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Transitional Council, to visit Socotra, came out of an interest in closely examining the achievements in the governorate, feeling the concerns and aspirations of citizens, and participating in the celebration of the anniversary of independence.

Al-Jaadi pointed out that the great southern people continue their struggle for independence, imposing their sovereignty on the nation’s soil, living in dignity and freedom, and building their institutions.

The ceremony witnessed a number of artistic performances by traditional and popular bands in the governorate, with the participation of the youths of the South in the archipelago.
