Elite of Hadrmout transports containers of money banknotes printed in Russia to headquarters of Arab Coalition in Mukalla
Informed sources confirmed today, that a military force of the Hadrami Elite transported containers of money banknotes of the Yemeni currency printed in Russia from Mukalla port in Hadramout governorate to the headquarters of the Arab Coalition forces in the governorate under air protection of the Apache aircraft.
Security sources in the city of Mukalla said that units of the Special Forces of the Hadrami Elite Forces transported containers arrived at Mukalla Port earlier this week, with air protection from Arab Coalition aircraft, to the headquarters of the coalition forces at Rayyan Airport in Mukalla.
On the reasons and motives for this step, the sources said: It is unknown until now, but it does not exclude that these measures are precautionary.
The newly printed money banknotes that arrived in Mukalla port days ago is estimated at 280 billion Yemeni riyals; in which this printing process created fears among Yemenis of the further collapse of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies, especially as the Yemeni authorities printed billions of local currency without financial cover.
