The first round, to be held from July 87th, to July 10th, 2018, is an extension of the founding round held earlier this year, as 303 members of the assembly representing all southern governorates will meet, in addition to president Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, vice president Sheikh Hany Ben Brik, members of the council’s presidency and southern military, security and political figures.
The national assembly completed all arrangements for the first round that will significantly help in maximizing efforts of political construction of the council and facing upcoming political rights towards achieving the goals of southern revolution and above all restoring and reconstructing the modern southern state. chairman of the national assembly, General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, invited all citizens of the south to support the presidency of the southern transitional council and to unite against destructive projects that target the south and southern people and diminish the victories achieved. He called for all southern citizens to send their message clearly, inside and outside, that they will steadily move ahead towards their desired goals that martyrs, injured and captives sacrificed for.
Ben Brik indicated that the round will start on Sunday July 8th, 2018 and lasts for two days, as all members of the national assembly will work on fulfilling all tasks and goals of the assembly. He added that the assembly includes elite figures of the south from all political, ideological and cultural trends from all over the south. Ben Brik also indicated that the round comes in critical stage, especially with political efforts appearing now and UN efforts to end the conflict and this devastating war that did major harm to everyone. These efforts aim to bring all political bodies and power to the negotiation table to reformulate the political process in a normal and correct way that is mainly based on just and inclusive solutions to end war and conflicts and establish permanent peace.
Ben Brik also indicated that through meetings with UN bodies or during southern/southern consultative meetings, the southern transitional council asserted its determination to face all political challenges to fulfill the expectations of the southern people and its free will.
