Foreign Affairs of STC holds its regular meeting and discusses the latest developments on local and regional scene

The Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Authority of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting on Sunday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, headed by Dr. Saleh Al-Hajj, Chairman of the Authority.
The meeting, which was held in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, discussed the latest political, military, security and economic developments on the local and regional scene, and the Transitional Council’s position on them.
The meeting affirmed the STC’s firm position in support of the peace process, stressing that stopping the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist escalation in the Red Sea and the continued mobilization on the southern border fronts is a basic condition for any political process.
The meeting heard a detailed report from the Department of International Organizations and Human Rights about its participation in the workshops held in the capital, Aden, and the results of its field visits to a number of government ministries to coordinate the work.
The plans of the geographical departments and the mechanism of their heads’ work with representatives in the mandate countries were also reviewed, with emphasis on the importance of circulating political directives and developments to representatives abroad, and following up on international studies and research.
The meeting discussed the obstacles and challenges facing the work of departments and divisions, and ways to solve them to ensure achieving the desired goals.
The meeting stressed the need to enhance administrative effectiveness and improve the performance of departments and divisions, while emphasizing the importance of evaluating and developing work in a manner consistent with the foreign policy of the Transitional Council and the aspirations of the people of the South.
