Free Women of the South Demonstrate in Al-Mualla

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Mualla – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Under the slogan of “March of Angry Southern Women”, hundreds of free women of the south demonstrated in the main street of Al-Mualla – Aden on Friday August 10th, 2018. Domnstrators expressed their resentment of “hunger and humiliation policies” of Ben Daghar’s corrupt government in addition to the spread of corruption and favoritism.
This march is part peaceful public protests called for by the coordinative commission of southern syndicates and trade unions in protest to poor security and living conditions and deterioration of national currency that had severe negative effects on the citizens’ lives due to high prices and lack of services.
Since liberation from Al-Houthi and Yemeni occupation, governorates of the south suffer from full collapse of infrastructure including water, sewer, electricity and health care in addition to poor living conditions and halt of salary payments for several months. Deterioration of Yemeni Riyal in exchange for foreign currencies and high prices of food and fuel in black market led to even poorer conditions of life.
