Funded by UAE… Lamlas signs contracts for 10 projects in water and sanitation sector in Aden the capital

The Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, on Monday, signed contracts for 10 development projects for water and sanitation sector, with support and financing by the United Arab Emirates.
The projects, whose contracts were signed in the presence of the Director General of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, Eng. Mohammed Bakhobeira, and Advisor to the Governor of Aden for Water and Electricity Affairs, Eng. Mohammed Obaid Talib, aim to develop and improve water production sources in the fields, modernize the transmission distribution networks, and rehabilitate sewage networks and treatment plants.
The projects include the rehabilitation of Al-Haswa sewage treatment plant, the construction of a water transmission line from the re-pumping station in Khormaksar to the distribution tank in Bab Aden, the construction of a two-thousand-meter supply line for the Sirah district, the supply of electrical transformers for power systems in the fields, and sewage pumps With 28 pumps, 30 submersible pumps for wells with their complete accessories, as well as the supply of a 6-meter-deep excavator, two small Bobcat jacks, and mobile suction pumps for rainwater, in addition to the supply of permanent-use spare parts.
This package of projects comes as part of the first phase of the brothers’ intervention in the United Arab Emirates, to support the infrastructure in the capital, Aden, and according to the priorities set by the Water and Sanitation Corporation, which is restricted to a limited and short time program for the implementing companies to ensure the speedy recovery of this sector, and to develop its capabilities and capabilities to meet the need.
