General Al-Zubaidi Directs to Form a Humanitarian Relief Committee for Al-Azarek – Al-Dalia

On his official account on tweeter, Sheikh Hany Ben Brik, vice president of the southern transitional council said: “According to directions of president Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi, an urgent humanitarian relief committee, headed by Mr. Fadl Al-Gaadi, member of the council’s presidency, will be formed to help and support citizens of Al-Azarek and local leadership of the council in Al-Dalia will assume executive responsibility of the committee urgently”.
Directions of Al-Zubaidi came in response to an e-campaign with the hashtag of Starvation Kills Al-Azarek – Al-Dalia. A few hours after the launch of the hashtag, Al-Zubaidi ordered the committee to be formed to save the zone from this tragedy.
According to Bassam Al-Qadi, a southern journalist, the campaign aimed to notify the world, international organizations, King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aids, UAE Red Crescent and other international charities about the sufferings of children in this zone who are facing starvation.
