General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of STC holds its periodic meeting and reviews developments of political scene

The General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of Southern Transitional Council “STC” held on Saturday its periodic meeting via video conference, headed by Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi.
The meeting, which was attended by heads of departments and representatives of foreign affairs in the various countries, discussed the developments of political events on the national scene and at the regional and international levels, in particular the mobilizations of the terrorist Houthi militia and its continuous threats to the lands of the South, besides economic facilities, and international interests, as well as the provocations of the first military region in Hadramout valley.
The meeting referred to the importance of the Arab coalition and the regional and international community playing an active role in order to confront those repressive practices carried out by terrorist and extremist groups against civilians, economic facilities and peaceful activities, stressing the need to expedite the completion of the implementation of the Riyadh agreement and consultations, foremost of which is the removal of military forces from Wadi Hadramout. The meeting stressed the need to enhance communication and activity with regional and international bodies to achieve peace and security, combat terrorism and secure international navigation.
The meeting drew attention to communicating with officials of the governments of major countries and the United Nations, and assuring them of the Southern Transitional Council’s pursuit of peace and advocacy of humanitarian issues.
The meeting also discussed a number of topics on the management’s agenda, what has been accomplished during the past period, the tasks of the foreign affairs departments and their representatives abroad, and the work plan for the year 2023.
