General Secretariat of STC reviews developments in political scene and discusses performance reports of legal department and local bodies

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held on Monday, its periodic meeting headed by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, the Deputy Secretary-General.
The meeting was briefed on the progress of the implementation process of the military section of the mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, praising the efforts of the Southern Field Military Committee with regard to the speedy implementation of the obligations of separating the forces and repositioning them according to the directives of President Commander Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, and according to the executive plan supervised by the Arab coalition, denouncing the other party’s circumvention of implementing the military aspect and the withdrawal of forces as stated in the mechanism to accelerate the Riyadh Agreement, and the continued attacks on the southern forces ’positions with daily bombardment in light of the presence of the coalition’s monitoring committees.
The meeting discussed the political scene report during the last period submitted by the political department, which included the most important political developments in the southern arena, including a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, as well as the use of the economic blockade and the service war on the southern governorates as means of pressure to reach political gains, in addition to the process of implementing the military part of the Riyadh Agreement by restoring the forces to be relocated according to the mechanism to accelerate implementation of the Agreement.
The meeting also reviewed the performance report of the Legal Department for the third semester of this year, as well as the organizational performance report of the local authorities in the governorates for the months of October and November for the year 2020.
The meeting discussed the latest political, economic, security and service developments in the southern arena, as well as organizational issues related to the tasks of the General Secretariat departments and local authorities in the governorates, the nature of the organizational work, as well as the service and security situation in the capital, Aden and the rest of the southern governorates.
In addition to that, the meeting listened to the weekly activity report of the General Secretariat departments during the past week, as well as reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
