General Secretariat of STC reviews report on political scene and performance of the Economic department

The General Secretariat, of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held on Tuesday, its periodic meeting chaired by Mr. Fadl Muhammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, and in the presence of Eng. Nizar Haitham, member of the Council’s Presidency, Head of the Executive Authority of the Local Leadership of the Council in Aden the capital.
In the meeting, the General Secretariat welcomed the initiative presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which aims to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution that works to establish permanent peace and stabilize stability in the South and Yemen, stressing the need to find urgent solutions to the humanitarian crisis and ensure affording the basic needs of the people in the South.
The meeting reviewed the political scene report submitted by the political department, which included the most important political events that the South has witnessed during the current period, including the worsening of living and service conditions in the liberated areas, and the state of popular anger and its effects on the developments in the southern political affair, in addition to a number of other political issues and topics.
The meeting also reviewed the performance report of the economic department, which included details of the department’s tasks, activities and achievements during the period from January to March 2021.
The meeting discussed the draft plan for the meetings of the General Secretariat for the second semester during the months of April – May – June for the year 2021, as it was approved with the observations made in this regard.
The attendees reviewed the most prominent issues related to local affairs, including the second wave of the Corona pandemic and its repercussions at all levels, calling on citizens to take all precautionary health measures and follow the measures announced by the Council’s Corona Pandemic Control Committee in this regard.
The meeting stood before of the oil derivatives crisis, and the deterioration of services that burdened citizens, and other matters related to the people of the South and their cause.
The meeting had reviewed the report of the activities of the General Secretariat departments during the past week, as well as the minutes of its previous meeting and approved it.
