Governor Bin Al-Wazir meets Director of Civil Defense and reviews work carried out in the field of occupational safety

Shabwa Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki met with the Director General of the Civil Defense Branch, Colonel Mohammed Jarish Al-Daghari, to review the work carried out and the efforts made in following up the governor’s directives to restore the firefighting system.
Bin Al-Wazir disbursed the necessary approval for awareness posters on the means of occupational safety, knowing about the activities and achievements that have been made by printing and distributing brochures in a number of residential buildings and government, commercial and industrial facilities as well.
The Governor of Shabwa directed for the repair of the out-of-ready fire truck – temporarily – to face any emergency, until work is done to find new fire engines during the coming period.
For his part, the Director of the Civil Defense Branch said that “the Civil Defense Department in Shabwa, is linked to the Ministry of Interior in the relational aspect, but it did not provide it with anything, and the tasks and duties of the Civil Defense Department are purely humanitarian, as it may be a reason to maintain life of citizens and public and private property.
The Governor of Shabwa stressed the speedy completion of the maintenance of the fire engine to confront and prevent fires in order to avoid the absence of losses or material damage, calling for the intensification of awareness and preventive programs against the risks of not applying occupational safety means.
