Governor Lamlas arrests the Director General of Post Office after a surprise visit

The Governor of the Capital, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, paid a surprise visit to Aden Post Office, on Monday, in which he was briefed on its conditions and got a direct review of the progress of work there.
The governor arrived at the General Postal Administration building at nine o’clock in the morning, in the absence of the general manager.
The governor directed to suspend the director general of the Post Office because of the Postal Administration’s absence of its work, and its perceived negligence, and lack of concern for cleanliness, and complaints from citizens reviewing the post office, which resulted in disrupting citizens ’transactions and interests.
During the visit, the governor met with a number of citizens at Khor Maksar Post Office, who submitted a number of complaints to him about the ill-treatment and procrastination they were subjected to while receiving their salaries.
The governor stressed on facilitating citizens’ transactions, stressing that their complaints are taken into consideration and work to address and reform postal conditions.
