Governor Lamlas chaired the periodic meeting of directors of districts and number of executives offices in Aden the capital

Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, the governor of Aden the capital, chaired on Saturday, the periodic meeting of directors of districts and directors of a number of executive offices in the capital.

The meeting was held in the presence of the Director General of Aden Police, and the general directors of the health and population offices, education, public works and roads, water and sanitation, and the cleanliness and improvement Fund, and the state’s lands and real estate, and the governor’s advisor for districts affairs, in which it was devoted to discussing developments in the spread of the second wave of the Corona pandemic in Aden the capital, and ways to confront them, and assess the conditions of isolation centers, health facilities, drug stocks, and preventive materials, equipment and supplies.

The meeting stood in front of the proposals submitted by the Education Office regarding the possibility of temporarily closing schools or ending the school year in order to preserve the lives of students and teachers, as it was agreed to postpone taking any decision in this regard, until consultations are made with the Supreme Emergency Committee and the Ministry of Education.

The meeting also discussed a number of points related to the security, service and development situations in the districts of the capital, as well as assessing the level of implementation of the outcomes of previous meetings and examining the efforts accomplished during the past two weeks in dealing with various service problems and alleviating the suffering of citizens, and reviewing reports activities in the districts.

The meeting reviewed the implementation mechanism of the capital’s governor’s decision, which stipulated the suspension of all construction work in a number of areas of the capital for a period of three months, and the emphasis on commitment to implement them during the period specified in the decision, as well as the relationship between the local authorities and police departments in the districts, and the importance of developing them and expanding areas of coordination between them to activate its role in establishing security and stability.

The meeting came out with a number of decisions and assignments aimed at solving problems facing workflow and contributing to improving services, and raising the level of performance of local authorities in the districts.
