Governor Lamlas gets briefed on activities of Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies in public services issues

The governor of the capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, met on Sunday, with the leadership of “Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies” represented by Mr. Mohammad Qasim Noman, Head of the Center, and Ms. Samah Jamil, Executive Director, and Dr. Ali Abdo Al-Doush, official in charge of monitoring and evaluation at the center.
The Governor Lamlas welcomed the leadership of the center, and listen from its Head to brief explanation on the programs that the center implemented, which are related to monitoring public services problems in the various districts of Aden the capital, and listening to the citizens’ opinions about them, as well as their proposals, suggestions and solutions to address them.
The Head of the center invited the governor to participate in the general conference to be held by the center to stand before the general report related to the summary of the work of the field monitoring teams and the workshops that were held in Aden, Abyan and Lahj, in which the most prominent public services problems, such as electricity, water, sanitation, environment, health services and education, were reviewed.
Noman praised the efforts made by the Governor of Aden the capital since his appointment in following up and developing solutions to many problems facing Aden and its citizens, foremost among which are electricity, water, sanitation, and environment services, which have accumulated and complicated solutions, and need serious and responsible treatments by the government.
Noman affirmed that the Yemen Center is keen to create a partnership with local authorities to help in solving problems, and overcoming the challenges facing local authorities and citizens.
For his part, the Governor Lamlas praised the efforts of Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies in these important activities and programs, stressing his keenness and the local authority in Aden the capital, to create a partnership with civil society organizations to face the accumulated problems and challenges in the capital, stressing that community problems can only be resolved through the partnership with civil society organizations.
The Governor also welcomed more communication, dialogue and joint work with Yemen Center in order to understand the problems of public services that the center worked on, and the outputs of the program’s activities, and the joint work also for the outputs and proposals related to addressing these problems and challenges facing the capital Aden.
