Governor Lamlas inspects progress of rehabilitating the Aden Radio and Television building

The Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, paid an inspection visit on Wednesday, to Aden Radio and Television building.
During the visit, Governor Lamlas was briefed on the progress of the rehabilitation works of the TV building “Aden Satellite Channel”, in which he listened from the Advisor to the Governor of Aden for Media Affairs, Mr. Salah Al-Aqel, and Eng. Fadl Al-Duqm, members of the work team in charge of evaluating and restarting the operation of Aden Satellite Channel, to the level of completion that has been accomplished so far in the context of the efforts to rehabilitate Aden Radio and Television building in preparation for its re-operation after nearly six years of shut down.
During his tour to the television building, the governor was briefed on the readiness of the news studio and the television library and the efforts to convert them from the regular archive to the modern digital method, and he listened from the supervisory team, and the television cadres and engineers to the most prominent problems facing the completion of all restoration works of the building in its various departments, offices and administrative units.
The governor praised the efforts and efficiency of local engineers from the TV cadres in accomplishing a lot of work and re-equipping a number of TV facilities in record time, stressing the keenness of the local authority leadership in the governorate to provide all aspects of support for what would restart Aden TV, based on its important and articulated role in shedding light on the city of Aden, and in order to preserve its historical legacy of achievements at the level of Arab and international channels and radio stations.
Governor Lamlas, during his visit, accompanied by Professor Huda Al-Kazmi, Director General of the Media Office in the capital, Aden, toured a number of the channel’s studios, the montage and television broadcasting units, the archive department, and the library, and directed their immediate reactivation.
It is worth mentioning that the local authority in the capital, Aden, took charge of the expenses of the restoration and maintenance works and the equipment of the TV facilities in full without any significant support from the government represented by the Ministry of Information.
