Governor Lamlas inspects progress of work at Al-Jamhoriya Hospital and calls on for international organizations support

The governor of the capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, visited on Tuesday, Al-Jamhoriya Educational Hospital, in which he got acquainted with the progress of work in the hospital various departments.
Upon his arrival at the hospital, the governor held a meeting with the leadership of the hospital, in the presence of Dr. Osan Muhammad Nasser, Advisor to the Governor for Health Affairs, and. Dr. Salem Al-Shabhi, Vice President of the Hospital Authority, and a number of management, doctors and heads of departments in the hospital.
During the meeting, the hospital’s conditions and its readiness to deal with the second wave of the emerging corona virus were examined, and the work mechanism used to receive and treat infected cases.
The governor was informed of the hospital’s administration and doctors about the most prominent problems facing the hospital, which are the lack of capabilities, devices, medical equipment, and medicines, as well as the shortage of medical staff, and the absence of postgraduate students in this exceptional circumstance that requires their attendance.
The meeting discussed the mechanism that regulates admission to the hospital, and ways to activate the triage center, which is responsible for receiving and examining patients before directing them to the relevant departments according to their cases.
The governor stressed the difficulty of the current stage and the importance of dealing with it with an ethical, humanitarian and national responsibility, stressing the need for all hospital staff, including medical, nursing and technical staff, to face the increasing spread of cases infected with Corona and other disease cases.
