Governor Lamlas stresses necessity of the success of security campaign to seize unlicensed weapons and cars

The governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, stressed to the leadership of the local authority in the districts of Aden the capital on the importance of the success of the wide security campaign to control the carrying of unlicensed weapons and unnumbered cars that the security authorities intend to launch.

Lamlas stressed, in a speech at the opening of the periodic meeting of directors of districts, and directors of a number of service facilities in the capital, that the patience is done for the leadership of the local authority and the security authorities on the spread of weapons, and carrying and roaming with them, as well as the unnumbered cars, and their movement throughout the capital, and this must be dealt with in responsibility.

The governor of the capital noted to the necessity of self-reliance, working with the available capabilities, and not waiting for the help of others, noting that he had issued directives to the Public Works and Roads Office to restore and repair roads in many streets.

Governor Lamlas added: “From now on, the Public Works and Roads Office will supervise the implementation of any projects in this aspect, and we will not allow any party to work without the supervision of the Public Works Office,” stressing the need for directors of obstacles in the districts to bear their responsibility in monitoring and identifying violations and raising to be dealt with.

In his speech, Governor Lamlas touched on the situation of hygiene, directing the Hygiene Fund to intensify efforts and adopt modern and advanced work mechanisms that keep pace with the great expansion witnessed in the capital.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the governorate, Badr Mu’awon, and the governor’s advisor for district affairs, Abdul Hakim Al-Shaabi, all points on its agenda related to public service issues were discussed.

The Director General of the Education Office reviewed the plan for the high school exams, which will start on the sixth of next July, the technical and security aspects related to it, and the most important difficulties facing the office, most notably the lack of its own budget.

The governor directed the security and local authorities to work with the Education Office to make the exam process successful and reduce the phenomenon of cheating, stressing that security guards should remain outside the walls of the exam centers.

The meeting also focused on the electricity situation, where the General Director of the Corporation reviewed, in this regard, the most prominent challenges facing his administration at the present time and the administration’s plan to confront them, foremost of which is the random connection and its severe financial and technical damages.

In this regard, Governor Lamlas directed the Electricity Department to raise a vision for the implementation of a wide campaign to remove the random connection, which includes a timetable and a mechanism for controlling violators to ensure that their violations are not repeated.
