Governor of Aden chairs periodic meeting of directors of districts and service offices in the capital

The governor of the capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, chaired on Saturday, the periodic meeting of directors of districts and directors of some service offices in the capital.

In his speech at the meeting, the Governor Lamlas reiterated the great importance that local authorities assume in the districts and the multiple responsibilities that they bear to address the service, development and security situations, which require strenuous efforts and continuous security and community cooperation and coordination.

The governor expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the directors of the capital’s districts and those who carried out their activities during the past period, in aspects of monitoring services and addressing the problems they face, as well as with regard to monitoring and developing revenues and combating the work of lands seizing and random construction and others.

The governor also praised the process of coordination between the local authorities in the relevant districts and ministerial offices on the services side, stressing at the same time the continuation of that coordination and communication, as the task is one and the efforts are complementary and in one direction, which is improving the conditions of the capital and serving its citizens.

The meeting reviewed the reports of completion of the activities carried out by directors of districts during the last period, including a set of problems and difficulties that faced the implementation of some activities and the mechanisms to solve them.

The meeting decided a number of decisions and assignments aimed at addressing those problems facing the districts, and contributing to improving services, and raising the level of performance of local authorities in the districts.
