Governor of Aden the capital and Minister of Works inspect educational process at College of Engineering in Aden

The Governor of the Capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, along with the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Eng. Manea bin Yemeen, visited the College of Engineering at the University of Aden, in Al-Sha`ab City.

In their visit, Lamlas and bin Yemeen met the Dean of the College, Dr. Saleh Mubarak bin Hantoosh, and his deputies, in which they got informed about the college’s status and the educational process therein.

The governor stressed the importance of the College of Engineering and the importance of its outputs in the present and future of the capital, Aden, which is looking forward to the contribution of college graduates in the building and development process.

Lamlas pointed out that the local authority in Aden is looking forward to creating a real partnership with the college, calling for the preparation of graduation projects with a new mentality and ideas that adopt service and development projects based on the needs and priorities of Aden.

The governor Lamlas pointed out to that it is not possible to advance the capital by traditional methods, but through the use of universities and scientific centers and their distinguished students, stressing the governorate’s readiness to provide all forms of support in this aspect to the Deanship of the College, its cadres and graduates.

For his part, the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Eng. Manea Bin Yemeen, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to consolidate its relationship with the College and to seek the help of its cadres and graduates in many of its activities in the future.

In the context of the visit, the Governor Lamlas and Minister Bin Yemeen were briefed on the graduation project of a number of students of the Mechanics Department of the faculty, which is to design a pneumatic car.

Lamlas praised the students’ abilities that were evident in that wonderful project, which reflects the level of the educational process in the college and the level of its professor, stressing that the local authority will support these projects and will work to implement them and make them real projects on the ground that give their benefit to the people of Aden.

The visit and meeting were attended by Eng. Nizar Haitham, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Head of the local leadership of the Council in Aden the capital, and Moamen Al-Saqqaf, head of the Youth and Students Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, and a number of college professors.
