Governor of Aden: We have great challenges ahead and we look forward to positive role for media accompanies efforts of local authority in developmental aspects.
[su_dropcap]T[/su_dropcap]he Governor of Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, met on Wednesday, at his residence in Riyadh, with Mr. Abdullah Al-Batati, President of the Southern Media Association – SMA.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation and the role of the media in supporting the efforts of the local authority to revive the development and vital projects that will be worked on during the next phase.
Mr. Lamlas referred to the importance of the media and its effective role in creating positive change, stressing that the local authority stands by the national media and press institutions and respecting freedom of opinions.
The governor also stressed on the importance of communicating with the media and creating a trained youth generation capable of managing media activities, indicating that the local authority will, in its upcoming plans, develop their skills and media creativity to contribute in establishing the next bright future.
For his part, Mr. Al-Batati conveyed the blessings, welcome, and congratulations of the administration and members of the Southern Media Association – SMA at home and abroad, to appoint Mr. Lamlas as governor of the capital Aden, confirming that they stand by the leadership of the local authority and support its efforts to re-normalize life and achieve security, safety and comprehensive and prosperous development in the capital Aden
The meeting was attended by Mr. Nizar Daaban, head of the planning department at the Southern Media Association – SMA.
