Governor of Hadhramaut Shows the Ministerial Commission Damages Caused by Recent Rains and Floods at the Governorate

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Makla – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Brigadier General Farag Salmeen Al-Ba Hasany, governor of Hadhramaut and commander of the second military zone, showed the ministerial commission, formed by prime minister Ahmed Obaid Ben Daghar and headed by Dr. Abdullah Salem Lamlas, minister of education, the damages caused by recent rains and floods that hit the governorate last week. The ministerial commission accompanied by governor of Hadhramaut visited damaged districts, streets, bridges, public facilities and private properties in Al-Dees, Al-Ghouaizi, Jol Al-Shefa, Al-Gholaila, Ba Ajman, Arabeen Shukkah and Ambikha on Friday.
Chairman of the commission declared Dees Al-Makla as a disaster area because of severe damages to infrastructure that require massive capabilities to be restored, especially water, sewer, electricity, roads and bridges that were almost destroyed, in addition to private properties including cars and stores.
Governor of Hadhramaut indicated that Dees Al-Makla needs a rain path to Jol Al-Ketab that could be used as an alternative road during normal weather and flood path during rain season. He thanked the president and prime minister for forming this commission to file a full report with damages and how to repair it in Al-Makla and other directorates.
The commission also followed efforts for waste removal and reopening roads with contribution of business men, contractors and citizens in addition to local authorities and commandership of second military zone. The commission also saw for damages that hit electric power lines, water and sewer networks, roads, bridges and telecommunication networks and listened to detailed reports of concerned officials about these damages.
Members of the commission, Dr. Hussain Ba Salama, minister of higher education, Eng. Mubarak Al-Tamimi, deputy minister of electricity and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali Thabet, deputy minister of public works and roads, in addition to Eng. Mohamed Al-Amoudy, deputy governor of Hadhramaut for technical affairs and other official of Hadhramaut attended the tour.
