Governor of Hadramout gets briefed on progress of removing torrential waste

Mabkhout bin Madi, Governor of Hadramout,on Friday, got briefed, during a meeting of the Emergency Committee in the coast of Hadramout, on the level of implementation of his directives to complete the operations to remove the damage of torrents and rains and preparations in the electricity and water sectors for the summer.
The meeting discussed a report from the executive officials of the Public Works Office, the oil company and the Joint Operations Center, on the general situation of flood and rain damage, and on the interventions required to open roads, remove water and clean streets.
The meeting also discussed efforts to rehabilitate Al-Rayyan power station, in which the first generator is expected to be completed in early April, and the plan to provide derivatives of fuel for the month of Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr and the summer period, and the plans to overcome the crisis of water cuts for citizens during the summer period.
Bin Madi instructed the governor to redouble efforts to open stumbling and closed roads due to torrential rains, expedite the removal of torrential waste and clean the streets, and follow up the completion of the rehabilitation of Al-Rayyan station in Mukalla.
Bin Madi extended his condolences and sympathy to the families of the two victims of the lightning strike that struck the city of Al-Shihr as a result of the current weather condition, instructing to take care of their families.
