Governor of Socotra launches initiative to distribute Eid clothing to 100 orphans

Mr. Raafat Al-Thaqali, Governor of Socotra, on Monday, witnessed the distribution of cash amounts for Eid clothing to 100 orphans in the governorate, at the initiative of the member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Sheikh Abdullah bin Issa bin Afrar.

Al-Thaqali praised Sheikh Bin Afrar’s support for orphans, as they are among the groups most in need of care and attention, with the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, and for planting a smile on the faces of orphaned children by obtaining Eid clothing.

He said that these initiatives have a societal impact to enhance the values of solidarity, tolerance and brotherly bonding during the holy month of Ramadan, which must be used for good and charitable works.
