Governor of Socotra witnesses the distribution of 550 Eid sacrifices by UAE Red Crescent

The Governor of Socotra Archipelago, Eng. Raafat Ali Ibrahim Al-Thaqali, on Sunday, witnessed the distribution of sacrificial meat for Eid Al-Adha for the year 1445 AH, with the support of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent to the people of Socotra.
The project came within the framework of the support of the sister country of UAE for the governorate, and in its desire to alleviate the amount of human suffering that has burdened citizens in the archipelago, in light of the deteriorating economic conditions and the conditions that the country is going through, including the high cost of living and the collapse of the value of the local currency against other foreign currencies.
Al-Thaqali expressed the importance of the project in alleviating the burdens of families during the Eid days, praising the role of the UAE Red Crescent Authority towards the people of Socotra, in all fields.
The project included the distribution of 550 Eid sacrifices with the aim of alleviating the difficult living conditions of families, as part of a series of humanitarian and relief projects aimed at improving living conditions in the governorate, which were implemented by the UAE.
