An official statement of the Second Military Zone indicated that the operation was launched according to intel information about suspicious movements of some terrorist elements. The forces ambushed the elements, but they refused to surrender and engaged with gun fire with the forces as two of them were killed while the third was arrested. Commandership of the Second Military Zone praised the bravery of citizens who cooperated and reported the suspicious movements of these terrorists, asserting that citizens are resenting the terrorist acts of such terrorist groups in Hadhramaut that may lead to destruction and harm.
