Head of NSMA Pays Visit to Aden Al-Ghad Newspaper and Meets Editor-in-Chief

Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA) assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), paid a visit on Wednesday to “Aden Al-Ghad” newspaper, during which he met with Mr. Fatehi Bin Lazraq, the editor-in-chief, in his office at the headquarters of the newspaper in the capital, Aden.

In the meeting, Mr. Al-Awlaqi confirmed that this visit comes within the framework of NSMA’s program to communicate with all southern media institutions, lauding the role of “Aden Al-Ghad” newspaper over the years in covering the activities of the Southern Movement and supporting the just national cause of the South.

Al-Awlaqi explained that the current stage requires unifying all efforts, including media efforts, to meet the upcoming entitlements emanating from current challenges facing the South, pointing out the necessity of creating commonalities in the media discourse and responsibility in dealing with political, economic, and security issues.

Mr. Fatehi Bin Lazraq welcomed the visit of the head of NSMA, Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, to the headquarters of the newspaper “Aden Al-Ghad” and got acquainted with the editorial and technical sections of the newspaper.

Bin Lazraq praised the role of NSMA in organizing media work in the capital, Aden, and the facilities it provides to media members and journalists in carrying out their tasks freely and transparently, expressing full readiness to deal positively with the NSMA’s orientations in creating a state of communication and building on commonalities in formulating the media discourse.

Al-Awlaqi, accompanied by Ben Lazraq, toured around the editorial and technical sections and listened to an explanation about the work of the editorial board, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of journalists and staff.
