Head of the local leadership of Transitional Council in #Socotra discusses with Saudi duty force resumption of aviation flights

. Raafat Ali Ibrahim Al-Thaqly, head of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Socotra Archipelago, who is in charge of the tasks of the head of the self-administration in the governorate, met on Tuesday, with the commander of the Saudi Duty Force 808, Brigadier Abdul Rahman Al-Hajji.
In the meeting, Al-Thaqly discussed with the Saudi Commander of the Duty Forces a number of issues related to the affairs of the governorate, foremost of which was resuming flights and civil aviation to and from the island, and facilitating issuing special permits for the UAE Royal Jet airline and other airlines.
Al-Thaqly stressed that the return of civil aviation to its activities on the island will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Socotra community, especially the critical medical cases that need urgent travel abroad for treatment, indicating that the suspension of flights during the previous period has caused great suffering to the people of Socotra Island.
Al-Thaqly valued the good efforts to lead the Saudi duty, and its constant concern for the stability of the governorate, indicating that during the last days and weeks, the governorate witnessed great stability and a remarkable normalization of life as well, all institutions resumed their activities at a high rate away from the exotic phenomena on the island from the militarization of cities and the proliferation of armed elements that created chaos and lawlessness during the past periods, before the situation was straightened and the governorate returned to its normal, peaceful and coexisting civilizational character.
