Human Rights Observatory of Al-Mehra and Socotra Holds a Seminar Titled “Equal Right as a Base for Freedom and Justice”, in Saihout
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Mehra – Saihout – Emad Ba Hameesh[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Human Rights Observatory of Al-Mehra and Socotra held a seminar titled “Equal Right as a Base for Freedom and Justice” on Saturday December 30th, 2017 in the center for languages and computer – Saihout. The seminar targeted (15) trainees from Saihout and Al-Mesila, including teachers, school principals and young men of different specialties. Fadl Salah Al-Duhaimy, chairman of Human Rights Observatory of Al-Mehra and Socotra, indicated that yhe observatory is concerned with human rights issues and establishing core principles of human rights in addition to observing and documenting human rights violations. Ayman Mazioun, a human rights trainer, delivered a presentation about principles of human rights and how to preserve them and terms of the international declaration of human rights that includes thirty legal terms. Mohamed Said Kalshat, head of media and broadcast department of the observatory discussed the equal rights as a base of freedom and justice, providing trainees with clear image on how to foster and protect human rights on the national and international levels. Trainees discussed several isues relevant to the current situation in Al-Mehra, including racism, sectarianism, marginalization and corruption, and how to deal with them. Ali Hafiz, the financial officer of the observatory, attended the seminar.
