[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] In a second qualitative operation, backup and support troops of Al-Alam, east of Aden, confiscated a bus carrying massive amounts of heroin and heading from the north to Aden. Nagy Al-Yaheri, commander of Al-Alam post said: “The post captured nearly 15 kilograms of heroin on a bus while inspecting it. The bus belongs to Al-Ruaishan transportation company and was on its way to Aden”. He added: “Durgs were hidden in a clever way inside the bus body near the engine but our soldiers with their experience in inspection managed to find it”.
Al-Yaheri indicated that the driver and his assistant, in addition to other two persons who were waiting for the bus at the delivery point, were detained for interrogation and the bus was confiscated and all evidence and detainees will be transported to Security Department according to legal procedures. He also expressed his astonishment that a major transportation company like Al-Ruishan may be involved in drug trafficking in this way as this may raise doubts about such buses and its use in illegal trafficking of drugs and other prohibited materials.
He also indicated that soldiers of security posts in the eastern axis, like Al-Alam, Dofes and Al-Magary, are exerting massive efforts in securing and maintaining order through capturing drugs and suspects in addition to monitoring goods trafficking among Aden and Abian governorates. He thanked the Arab Coalition forces, led by Saudi Arabia and UAE, for their support of security systems.
It is noteworthy that this operation is the second in less than two weeks as Al-Alam post and the second battalion “HAZM” managed to capture more than 90 kilograms of Hashish.
