In new provocative intransigence; Al-Maisiri directs to close branches of Al-Qutaibi exchange to prevent payment of salaries to employees
The Minister of Interior of the Yemeni legitimate government directed the police administration to close the branches of Al-Qutaibi exchange and its agents in all governorates to prevent the salaries payment for the members of the special forces.
Al-Maisari justified his arbitrary directives as due to the reason of the central bank’s administration refusal to pay the forces salaries to ministry of interior agents and clerks.
The central bank had paid the employees the special forces’ salaries through Al-Qutaibi exchange, which angered Al-Maisiri, in which he transferred his problem to the Al-Qutaibi Bank, and to prevent it of paying the salaries of soldiers who were deprived of it for months.
Observers said that there are very large amounts of money that were spent for some officials in the Ministry of Interior in an illegal and unofficial manner, so that Al-Maisiri and his followers would be harmed by the central bank’s decision to spend private salaries through Al-Qutaibi.
The salaries of the ministry of interior members were spent through the clerks and financial departments that manipulated the statements and took the salaries of the dismissed and the absentees, and this matter does not exclude that there are fictitious records whose salaries went to pockets of Al-Maisiri.
