In presence of Al-Jaadi and Sooki.. Southern Judges Club holds press conference for Expenditure Review Committee of Judicial Authority’s Budget

The Southern Judges Club held, on Wednesday, a press conference in the capital, Aden, to review the results of the work of the committee tasked with examining, reviewing and auditing aspects of the spending and expenditure of the judiciary’s budget, in the presence of Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, and lawyer Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency of the Council, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly.
In the press conference, which was attended by Dr. Saleh Al-Marfadi, Head of the Legal Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, the Expenditure Review Committee started by welcoming the attendance of prominent figures, jurists, lawyers, and journalists from various media outlets, noting that the committee was entrusted with this task by the Executive Office of the Southern Judges Club, which represents the broad base of members of the judiciary, affirming its commitment to honesty and credibility in what it presented in its report, and its reliance on numbers and documents, away from any political rivalries.
The committee presented a report of its finding and results regarding the Judicial Authority’s Budget, providing an explanation of its contents, including observations on the processes of disbursing the judiciary’s budget and the abuses and violations related to dealing and spending this budget, as the report covered all bodies of the judicial authority represented by the Supreme Judicial Council, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Public Prosecution, and the Higher Judicial Institute.
After that, the door was opened for the attendees, in which the committee listened to the questions and comments of the present journalists and responded to what they asked regarding the committee’s findings in its work and the details provided by the committee in its report.
At its conclusion, the report included a summary of the work notes of the committee charged with examining, reviewing and auditing aspects of spending and spending in the judiciary’s budget, in addition to the results of those observations, and made a number of recommendations related to what was stated in it.
