In the presence of Al-Kathiri… Handover ceremony completed for the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadramawt

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and Head of the National Assembly, chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Southern Transitional Council’s local leadership in Hadramawt Governorate today, Saturday, in Mukalla in presence of Mr. Mohammed Al-Shaqi, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council’s Presidency for Governorate Affairs and Head of the Handover Committee.

During the meeting, which included the handover ceremony between the new Acting Head of the Committee, Mr. Mohammed Batis, and the former Head of the Hadramawt Transitional Council’s Executive Committee, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Muhammadi, Al-Kathiri praised the significant efforts made by Brigadier General Al-Muhammadi during his tenure as head of the Executive Committee and the achievements made despite the challenges of the period. He emphasized that the next phase requires redoubled efforts and called on everyone to support the new Acting Head of the Committee in his upcoming duties.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shaqi praised Brigadier General Al-Muhammadi’s efforts during his leadership of the council in Hadramawt, and his contributions to serving the nation and the cause of the people of South Yemen. He noted that Hadramawt has been and remains a model of organization and commitment, and emphasized the importance of teamwork to strengthen the council’s presence in various fields.

In turn, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Muhammadi reviewed the most prominent activities implemented by the executive body during the past period and the successes achieved. He called on the directors of the executive departments to support the new leadership and overcome any obstacles to ensure the continuation of effective institutional work.

In his address, Mohammed Batis expressed his deep appreciation for the trust placed in him by the council’s political leadership. He affirmed his determination to continue the organizational and political work led by Brigadier General Al-Muhammadi, to build upon the achievements made, and to work as a unified team to serve Hadramawt and the cause of the people of South Yemen.

Following that, the handover ceremony took place in a fraternal atmosphere characterized by transparency and a spirit of responsibility, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Basardah, Head of the Legal and Human Rights Authority, Dr. Maher Al-Hujaili, Vice President of the Financial and Administrative Authority, Mr. Hassan Basamir, Head of the Hadhramaut Coast Bloc in the National Assembly, Mr. Hassan Balhoul, representative of the Hadhramaut Coast Bloc Coordination in the Advisory Council, in addition to members of the Executive Authority of the Hadhramaut Transitional Council.
