Inaugurating Southern Academics and Competencies Forum in Britain under supervision of Transitional Council Foreign Affairs
The British capital, London, witnessed on Saturday, launching the Southern Academics and Competencies Forum, under the supervision of the Office of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council.
The inaugurating ceremony opened with a speech by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, saluting the inauguration of this forum for southern academics and competencies, stressing on the importance of southern competencies and experiences abroad, which will have a major role in building the modern future of southern state, directing the forum to create a database with all Academics and southern competencies and in all disciplines abroad to integrate work with their counterparts at home so that their original homeland can benefit from them and be a support and aid to their families at the present time by advocating their southern national cause and conveying the voice of their people to decision-makers in the international community and actually contributing to laying the foundations and building of the modern future southern state. President Al-Zubaidi emphasized on the need to “benefit from the UK’s experience in the field of education, scientific research and sustainable development.”
Dr. Aidaroos Al-Naqeeb, Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Director of the British Office, Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, praised this forum and emphasized on providing support and assistance as much as possible to the Southern Forum of Academics and Competencies and the effective contribution to framing their work in the service of the Southern cause and seeking to contribute to building the state.
The event witnessed presenting the objectives of the forum and mechanisms of action in both Arabic and English, with a number of interventions about the goals and mechanisms of the work and aspirations in serving the southern cause.
At the end of the inaugurating ceremony, Eng. Adel Mutlaq, the forum’s supervisor by the British office at the General Department of Foreign Affairs presented the forum’s plans in the short and medium term, up to the great goal of its establishment, which is to contribute to building the modern southern state.
