International Media Exposes Cooperation Between Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Their War Against the South
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]A[/su_dropcap]l-Eslah Party, Muslim Brotherhood Political arm in Yemen, and leader of the military wing, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar, thought that they can use media tools, especially Arab ones, to cover the fact that they used Al-Qaeda and ISIS in their war against the south to invade it for the third time. But their pursuit failed as international media exposed these facts.
Events of Shabwa clearly exposed the fact that terrorist elements of Al-Qaeda and ISIS fought side by side with Al-Eslah militias and many of them were killed in combat. But Muslim Brotherhood media tools and some Arab media channels tried to cover that through denial or not to talk about it.
International media exposed Muslim Brotherhood and their military chief, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar, through discussing clear reports about their use of Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists in their war against the south, acts exhausted by the bravery of southern Armed Forces. One of these reports was the report of “Al-Hurra”, a US tv channel while the other was of Deutsche Welle Website, a leading German Media tool.
In its report titled “Al-Qaeda on the battle lines of Al-Eslah and Separatists in Southern Yemen” Al-Hurra accused Al-Eslah party of using ISIS and Al-Qaeda to fight troops of the southern transitional council. This started with ambushing the council’s troops in Abian last Saturday. Al-Hurra added: Some members of the government celebrated the ambush considering it a national victory but later ISIS declared its reposnibility of the ambush. This confirms that Muslim Brotherhood used ISIS and Al-Qaeda to fight the south.
Deutsche Welle, a major German media tool discussed the use of ISIS and Al-Qaeda by Al-Ahmar to fight the south in a report titled “Yemen: Did Al-Ahmar troops used Al-Qaeda against the Southern Transitional Council?”
The report indicated that Peter Salisbury, a researcher in Gulf States Institute in Washington, published an article in 2017 indicating that Al-Ahmar provided incubators for some groups that turned later into Al-Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula, the Yemeni branch of Al-Qaeda. According to sources, Saturday ambush and mixed declaration of responsibility is a clear evidence that the “Ally of Interests” between Al-Ahmar and Al-Qaeda was renewed, either with or without knowledge of Hady’s government.
