Joint meeting of Southern National Dialogue Team and human rights and legal departments of STC

The Southern National Dialogue team on Thursday, headed by Abdul Salam Qasim Massad, deputy head of the team, met at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council “STC” in the capital, Aden, the two departments of human rights headed by Attorney Zikra Maatouk, head of Human Rights Department, and Dr. Saleh Al Marfadi, head of the Legal Department, in addition to members from the two departments.
The attendees discussed the meetings of the Southern National Dialogue team at home with the various southern parties and components, their content and the most prominent observations related to the human rights and legal aspects.
The meeting indicated the necessity of relying on legal opinion, in accordance with the standards of the rule of law and order, and applying it properly as a check on state authority, and one of the pillars of restoring the state of the South.
The meeting agreed on preparing a joint report that includes a reading of the human rights and legal situation and related recommendations.
