Lahj embraces Abyan on the 18th anniversary of southern reconciliation and tolerance

On a historic day in which the people of Lahj and Abyan strengthened the bonds and values of southern reconciliation and tolerance on the ground, the people of Abyan, led by the leaders of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), headed by Hassan Ghaithan, Head of the Executive Body of STC in Abyan, and security and military leaders, received the Lahj Governorate delegation, which included leaders of STC in the governorate, led by the Head of the Executive Body of STC in Lahj, Wadah Al-Halmi, in addition to youth and women leaders, and the Lahj University coordinator, who gathered to celebrate the anniversary of southern reconciliation and tolerance under the slogan: “We have reconciled, we have tolerated… We are southerners in the arena.”
In the event in which Shabwa Governorate participated at, represented by the Head of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa, Abdulaziz bin Laksar, who said during the event that he had hoped that these groups would meet in Shabwa to share with its people their celebrations of the anniversary of reconciliation and tolerance, but time was short, hoping that it would extend. Such visits reach all southern governorates.

At the entrance to the city of Zenjibar, large crowds of people from Abyan gathered to receive their brothers from the people of Lahj, carrying flags of the state of the south, and chanting revolutionary slogans and songs expressing their joy at the arrival of their brothers from the people of Lahj, on whose faces appeared feelings of joy and pleasure, some of which were translated by the interim president of Lahj. Waddah Al-Halmi, who spoke on behalf of the delegation of the people of Lahj, said: “Our happiness is indescribable with this meeting and this historic day.. We came to you from the guarded Lahj to the clearest place of struggle and history, to make it heard far and wide that we are brothers and one body, and no one will separate us. We will go together on the path of struggle to turn the pages of the past and restore our southern state.” .

At the event, several speeches were delivered, all of which emphasized the importance of the anniversary of southern reconciliation and tolerance and moving forward to restore the state of the South at the heart of one man behind the Transitional Council led by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, blocking the way for anyone who tries to incite past conflicts and undermine the cohesion of the people of the South.
