Lamlas and Humaid review progress of Aden future airport project

The Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid, stressed the keenness of the ministry and the leadership of the capital, Aden, to protect the area of the future Aden airport from expansion and acts of encroachment, stressing the protection of the airport’s lands to prevent any illegal encroachments.
In a meeting in the office of the Ministry of Transport in the capital, Aden, in the presence of the governor of the capital, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, he reviewed the level of completion of the axes of the future Aden Airport project on the ground, and the most prominent obstacles facing the workflow of the engineering teams.
The meeting, with the participation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Eng. Tariq Abdo, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Captain Saleh Bin Nahid, and the Chairman of the Free Zone Authority in Aden, Hassan Ahmed Haid, and others, touched on the procedures for determining the area and campus of the airport in accordance with the requirements and standards of the International Aviation Organization.
The governor, Lamlas, drew attention to the need for concerted efforts, adding that we are working in difficult conditions and days, which requires planning and implementing a work program with field visits to follow up the progress of work.
He expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and the Aviation, Land and Free Zone Authority, and their efforts in completing the arrangements for dropping the site of the vital future Aden International Airport project, stressing that it is the dream of all citizens.
