Lamlas calls for businessmen and investors to contribute in construction and development

The Governor of Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, chaired on Saturday, the extended weekly meeting of the general directors of the districts and directors of the offices of public works and roads, the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, and the State Lands and Real Estate Authority in Aden the capital.
The governor began the meeting with a directive speech in which he expressed his great satisfaction with some of the activities and works that were carried out in a number of districts, which were well received by citizens, in which he stressed on the importance of these activities and their positive impact and their repercussions on the lives and daily livelihood of the citizens of those districts, calling for intensifying activities that aimed at solving a number of cumulative problems that were and still are a legacy that burdens the directors’ shoulders, stressing that it must be given full attention and priority in the daily work program in order to be radically solved, renewing the support of the governorate leadership for these actions to overcome any difficulties facing their implementation.
The governor urged the districts’ directors to communicate with businessmen and investment companies and invite them to contribute in supporting the services facilities, and the cleaning and improvement works.
The minutes of Saturday’s meeting included a number of topics were discussed, most notably the evaluation of the level of implementation of the decisions and mandates of the previous meeting, as well as the hygiene and sanitation, revenues, and the issue of controlling on lands, and random construction, and the removal of obstacles from roads, in addition to other developments at the governorate level.
The directors of districts previewed in the meeting the previous decisions and assignments that had been implemented, clarifying the reasons for not implementing some of them, and discussing ways to developing remedies, as well as reviewing the most prominent activities implemented in their districts.
The meeting discussed the issue of collecting revenues, especially taxes and duties, which all districts suffer from, and the relationship between the leaders of those facilities and the local authorities in the district, and in this regard, the meeting decided to hold a joint meeting between directors of districts and directors of revenue institutions.
The meeting also discussed two reports on violations, the first one submitted by the Director General of the Public Works and Roads Office, and the other one by the State Lands and Real Estate Authority on in this regard.
