Lamlas calls for continuation of mechanisms to return illegal immigrants to their countries

The governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, during his meeting with the acting head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Matthew Huber, called on to continue working with mechanisms to return illegal immigrants to their countries in accordance with local and international laws.
Lamlas urged the Coast Guards to intensify the control of illegal immigration operations, in accordance with the plan agreed upon with the International Organization for Migration, stressing that the Horn of Africa suffers from this phenomenon.
In the meeting, Lamles got briefed on the progress of the returns of illegal immigrants agreed upon with the International Organization for Migration during the last period, the percentage of completion, and the reasons that led to the delay and postponement of some of them.
The governor of the capital pointed to the importance of teamwork, redoubling efforts and coordination between various parties to address the difficulties and problems that prevented implementation of it.
