Lamlas calls on advisor to UN coordinator to direct support for sustainable projects

The Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, stressed, during his meeting with Chris Johnson, advisor to the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Development and Economic Affairs, on Thursday, to direct international support for sustainable projects in the city.
In the meeting, he called for keeping pace with the changes to meet the service and development needs, referring to the steps of the local authority in Aden to develop administrative performance and revenues, and to employ resources efficiently, to overcome the difficulties of working in the development field.
The meeting discussed a number of priority issues, and ways of joining efforts to improve the economic situation and alleviate the difficult conditions for the citizen due to the deterioration of the currency and the continued high prices.
The two sides agreed to grant Aden its share of the support projects commensurate with its position as the capital, and to focus the response according to the requirements of the local authority.
