Lamlas discusses with AMIDEAST implementing training programs for administrative units in Aden the capital

The Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, discussed with the American organization AMIDEAST the possibility of the organization’s intervention in implementing programs to build up the capacity of the staff in the administrative units in the capital, Aden.

This came during the meeting of governor Lamlas with Ms. Gehan Adam, director of the organization’s center in Aden, and a number of the center officials, in which the governor praised the various training and rehabilitation projects and programs that AMIDEAST is holding in Aden, which target the youth category of university and high school graduates, and other groups of community members.

Governor Lamlas expressed his aspiration for the intervention of AMIDEAST in the aspect of building the capacities of local authority cadres and executive offices in the capital, Aden, stressing the support of the local authority for the activities and interventions of the organization, and overcoming any difficulties it faces, hoping that the Center will continue its qualitative activities and coordinate and communicate with the local authority through the advisory team at the Governor’s Office and the Office of Planning and International Cooperation.

For her part, Ms. Gehan Adam reviewed the overall programs and activities implemented by the center at the present time, which include a number of projects targeting young people of males and females, and developing their abilities and skills in the aspect of teaching languages ​​and specialized courses in various aspects and fields, and preparing them to enter to the labor market and other programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Governor Lamlas and Ms. Gehan agreed on the need to create an effective partnership between the local authority and AMIDEAST Center and to strengthen communication between the two sides.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Sheikh, advisor of the Governor, and Mohammad Obaid Talib, Fahd Al-Khulaifi from the advisory team for organizations affairs in the governor’s office, and for AMIDEAST’s side, Sahar Anwar, program coordinator, and Shakib Abdul Hamid, external relations advisor at the center, and Mohammad Bagrash, assistant program coordinator at AMIDEAST.
