Lamlas Heads the Regular Meeting of the General Secretariat and Asserts the Significance of Celebrating Independence Memory
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting, headed by Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, the secretary general, on Saturday November 10th, 2018. The meeting included heads of departments of the general secretariat in addition to Mr. Fadl Al-Gaadi, member of the council’s presidency. Referring to the 51st anniversary of national independence on November 30th, Lamlas asserted that this year’s anniversary comes amid major efforts for southern-southern dialogue, called for by president Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, president of the Southern Transitional Council, to reach an agreement among the council and other southern components about relevant issues. Lamlas appreciated the consultative meetings held between the dialogue commission and other southern political parties and components in the Southern National Assembly during the past two weeks and its positive outcomes.
The meeting discussed activities and events held by the general secretariat departments and results of field visits to Al-Dalia, Lahj and Abian asserting the importance of putting results of these visits into action. The meeting also asserted the importance of coordination with local leaderships of the council to train and qualify cadres in all fields. In this respect, heads of the general secretariat departments field several recommendations to facilitate such efforts.
