Lamlas inspects status of Trade and Industry Bureau and stresses its need to assume its supervisory role

The Governor of the Capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, stressed on the importance of the Industry and Trade Bureau to assume its supervisory role in ensuring the quality of food and consumer goods, and monitoring and controlling their prices through daily visits to markets, shops, restaurants, bakeries, etc., and holding violators accountable.
This came during his visit to the Office of Industry and Trade in Aden and his meeting with the director general of the office and the directors of the various departments therein, the governor stressed on the need for the administration and staff of the office to interact with the current conditions that the capital is going through and the suffering that citizens endure as a result of high prices of food and goods, vegetables, fruits, meat, etc.
Lamlas directed the office leadership for continuous coordination with the local authorities in the districts to organize inspection visits of the office inspectors, and inspection campaigns and price control.
In his turn, Eng. Mohammad Abadi Thabet, Director General of the Office of Industry and Trade, previewed the office’s activities and highlighted the difficulties it faces in carrying out the tasks entrusted to it.
The governor toured the offices and departments of the office and met with the employees and urged them to redouble efforts in carrying out their job duties, and to play the desired role of the office on which the citizen relies a lot in alleviating their suffering.
