Lamlas praises the role of Halo Trust in the cleaning mines and remnants of war

The Governor of the capital Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, praised the great role of Halo Trust organization in the cleaning mines and other explosives of the remnants of war in Aden the capital.
In the meeting with Mr. Matthew Smith, the director of the program, and in presence of the two undersecretary of Aden governorate, Eng. Adnan al-Kaf and Abdul Rahman Sheikh, Lamlas said: “We are happy with you and your activity, which is to clean Aden the capital from the danger of mines and other remnants of the war that was launched against Aden some years ago and lead to many civilian and military victims”, noting that there are a number of areas in the capital Aden need to be cleaned from those waste that is a threat to the lives of citizens.
In turn, Mr. Smith, highlighted the activities carried out by the program in coordination with the local authority represented by the Office of Planning and International Cooperation in cleaning mines and hazardous materials that threaten citizens’ life.
Mr. Smith pointed out that the program aims to achieve a number of objectives, most notably, save the lives of citizens and prevent them to get hurt, and to prepare lands to resume production process, create jobs for young people and create an appropriate environment for peace and stability.
