Lamlas receives a Russian diplomatic delegation in preparation for opening the embassy

Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Governor of the capital Aden, welcomed on Tuesday, a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Embassy, including Ivan Zhuk, Leonid Anisimov, Pavel Korolev, and Igor Shubun Valigura, at the General Diwan of the capital.
The meeting, attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Badr Muawon, and the Director of Aden Security, Major General Mutahhar Al-Shaibi, discussed the mechanisms of joint cooperation and coordination between the two sides, and the arrangements for reopening the Russian consulate in the capital Aden.
Governor Lamlas praised the step to reopen the embassy, expressing the local authority’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities and support to secure the work of the embassy and secure the needs required for the success of the step.
Lamlas expressed the importance of strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, and expanding areas of joint cooperation in the economic and development fields, in response to the solid historical relations that bring together the two friendly peoples.
The governor of the capital, Aden, pointed to the efforts made to enhance security and stability in the capital, pointing to the most prominent challenges facing the city and the ongoing efforts to overcome them in cooperation with international partners.
