Lamlas to the Consultative Meeting with Political Elites: The Council is not Seeking Power but has a National Project that Meets the Expectations of the Southern People in Partnership with All.
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, secretary general of the southern transitional council, asserted that the council is going on its path towards communication with all southern figures and components through southern/southern dialogue.
During a consultative meeting held by the political department of the council on Monday to discuss the future of southern national dialogue project, Lamlas indicated that the council established four commissions to talk to political parties, southern figures, tribal leaders and other southern components. He said: “Dialogue is our target as it will lead us to a southern civil democratic state. we will try all means to line up the south through dialogue”.
He added that the call of president Al-Zubaidi for southern/southern dialogue is a clear message to the south and the world that the council is not seeking power but has a national project that fulfills the southern people’s expectations in partnership with all components. He added that the south is on the right way towards an independent state according to main headlines of law and democracy.
Khaled Ba Muhdef, chairman of the political department of the council said: “Along its history, the southern people is civilized. The southern/southern dialogue is establishing the project of the civil southern state. president Al-Zubaidi launched a responsible call that stems from the significance of the southern/southern dialogue”.
Kassem Daoud, chairman of “Aden Center for Observation and Studies” said: “We really need this southern/southern dialogue. We know well that the council, represented in general Al-Zubaidi, realizes the significance of this dialogue through forming special commissions for dialogue with southern components. The only alternative is conflict and that is why dialogue is important to build up a future through political projects approved by the people”.
The meeting was attended by the Southern Democratic Coalition, Al-Baath Al-Arabi Socialist Party, Aden Youth Movement, Supreme Military Association of Southern Army and Police, Peaceful Movement Council, Aden Center for Intellect and Culture, Aden Center for Observation and Studies, Wogoud Association for Human Security, the Public Council of Al-Tawahi and Civil Convention Support Campaign in addition to several southern academics, media men, activists and law makers. The meeting discussed all mechanisms to succeed the southern/southern dialogue and to achieve southern consistency to establish a modern southern state according to civil and democratic principles. Attendants expressed their support to the call of president Al-Zubaidi and demanded all parties to prepare good conditions for the dialogue to succeed through real partnership among all components.
During their comments on statements of attendants, Fadl Al-Gaadi, Adnan Al-Kaf and Dr. Mona Ba Sharaheel, members of the council’s presidency, and Dr. Abd Al-Nasser Al-Wali, chairman of local leadership of Aden, explained several issues concerning the southern/southern dialogue project and presented a clear image for all participants about steps taken by the council to deem the dialogue as success. They asserted the council’s convection of the significance of dialogue with all parties without exclusions. They also indicated that the council welcomes all responsible recommendations and points of view. They demand all parties to work as a team to face the challenges and take major steps through concentrating on common points while neglecting conflicts and disagreements.
