Lamlas: We are keen to unify work systems at customs outlets

The governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, revealed that he has communicated with the concerned authorities to approve a project to re-maintain the road linking the entrance of the Caltex Roundabout to the customs port of the free zone.
During his meeting with Salem Salman Al-Wali, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and Major General Mutahar Ali Naji Al-Shuaibi, Director of Security in the capital, Aden, an expanded meeting held with the leadership and cadres of the Customs Authority, pointing out to the importance of the road in facilitating the movement and flow of transport trucks and the ease of flow of goods to traders.
Lamlas expressed his keenness to quickly cover the insurance guarantee, and to address the imbalances in the customs ports in the governorates to unify the work systems in all customs ports.
Lamlas said at the meeting that improving infrastructure, developing means and mechanisms of work, and facilitating procedures and transactions at customs ports in the capital, Aden, is an urgent necessity to revitalize and activate the commercial movement and enhance resources and revenues.
The meeting reviewed the obstacles to commercial movement towards the ports of the capital, Aden, and the imbalances caused by the difference in customs duties at the ports in other governorates, in addition to the high cost of insurance on ships, and transportation costs due to restrictions and diversion of the route of navigational routes.
