Lamlas welcomes head of the International Organization for Migration and calls for addressing challenges of displacement

Ahmed Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, welcomed on Wednesday, the new head of the International Organization for Migration mission, Abdul Sattar Yousef, and congratulated him on his appointment to the position.
Lamlas stressed the importance of the role of the International Organization for Migration in supporting humanitarian efforts and initiatives that enhance community stability and contribute to improving the living conditions of local residents and displaced persons.
The two sides discussed the future plans of the organization in the capital Aden, especially with regard to supporting local communities hosting refugees and displaced persons, providing humanitarian assistance, improving camp conditions and providing basic services.
The Governor of the capital, Aden, called for continuous coordination between the organization and government agencies and local authorities to ensure the effective implementation of programs and achieving benefits for the targeted communities.
In turn, the head of the International Organization for Migration mission expressed the keenness of the International Organization for Migration to strengthen the partnership with the local authority in Aden and provide technical and logistical support to address the challenges related to migration and displacement.
The two sides agreed to continue communication and coordination between the two sides to develop humanitarian work in the capital, Aden, and ensure the sustainability of future projects that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable groups in society.
