Launching first flights at Al Ghaidhah International Airport

Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid, Minister of Transport, on Thursday, inagurated launching the first operating flights of Al-Ghaidhah International Airport in Al-Mahra governorate, in the presence of a number of officials.
Humaid announced that the launch of the first domestic flights from Al-Ghaidhah International Airport as a first stage, followed by scheduling foreign flights from Al-Ghadhah, Al-Rayyan and Socotra, to facilitate the movement of citizens and stimulate the commercial and tourism movement.
The Minister of Transport stressed the importance of Al-Mahra governorate as the eastern gateway to the country, and the second largest governorate in terms of area, in addition to possessing wealth and economic and investment opportunities in the fields of oil, gas, minerals, fish and tourism.
