Leased power stations in Aden the capital are back in service

The Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, on Thursday, confirmed the return of leased power stations to service in response of their owners to the call of the leadership of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the local authority of the capital, Aden, to give an additional period to pay their financial dues.
In a statement, the Corporation appreciated the response of the stations’ owners and their understanding for the critical situation due to the high hours of power outages due to the impact of getting the leased energy out of service since dawn of Thursday.
The Electricity Corporation emphasized reducing outage hours after the return of rented generation and making efforts to achieve relative stability of service, and appealed to the concerned authorities to secure fuel for generation stations in quantities that ensure the continuity of service during the current summer despite the high loads.
